# Ofuska

> Ofuska is a publicly available Android app on Google Play for storing identity
> documents encrypted on-device and making safer copies to share. iOS is planned
> without an announced date.

Important product facts:

- Documents are encrypted locally with AES-256-GCM using a random master key.
  The local PIN protects access to that key; document encryption is not directly
  derived from the PIN.
- Redaction uses a brush, rectangles and reusable masks. Pro adds templates saved
  per photo. The What to hide guide gives advice but does not place areas automatically.
- Before export, the app shows the exact output and blocks export if an included
  photo is unprotected. Button-based region editing was tested end to end with
  TalkBack on 1.0.7+12; no accessibility certification is claimed.
- New copies use an authenticated v2 invisible watermark. Verify Copy accepts PNG
  and JPEG, not PDF directly, and can identify a locally recorded copy only when
  the required pixels survive. It distinguishes v2, legacy and unverified results.
- Exact shared images and PDFs are retained encrypted. Free retains artefacts from
  the last three sends while metadata remains; Pro retains all artefacts.
- Optional Google Drive backup uses vault v4 with resumable uploads, two immutable
  generations and a separate passphrase of at least 12 characters. Restore supports
  vaults v1-v4 and can set a new local PIN. Local wipe or uninstall does not delete
  a vault already stored in Drive.
- There are no ads and no first-party analytics. Documents, PINs and recipients are
  never sent to Ofuska. RevenueCat receives anonymous technical install and purchase
  data to validate Pro.
- Free is available with limits and always adds the Ofuska footer band. Pro is a
  one-off purchase with no subscription: EUR 4.99 in Spain, with local Google Play
  pricing elsewhere. Pro removes the band by default but can keep it, and remembers
  that choice. The authenticated invisible watermark remains mandatory.
- The app and website support Spanish, British English, Catalan, Galician and Basque.
